M57 Drivability FAQ
Will the pedal feel heavier than standard?
The kit was specially designed to retain soft, stock-like pedal effort while providing increased strength. Pedal effort should feel comparable to the original clutch, rather than heavier simply because this is a reinforced twin-disc kit. Comfort and durability were Atix Racing's main development goals. Actual pedal feel can vary with the vehicle's hydraulic system, component condition and installation.
Where is the bite point, and is engagement stock-like?
Comfortable, stock-like drivability is a design goal, but this does not mean a fixed bite-point position or identical engagement in every vehicle. No measured engagement-window specification is published for this kit. Ask us to confirm the requirements for your exact setup.
Is it suitable for daily driving?Yes, the kit was developed with comfort and durability as its main goals, including use in high-power modified street cars. It is designed to combine soft, stock-like pedal effort with reinforced construction. Tell us your vehicle, gearbox, torque target and typical use so suitability can be checked for your build; identical behavior across all installations is not guaranteed.
What break-in or bedding-in procedure should I follow?A break-in period of approximately 500 km is recommended to allow the friction surfaces to bed in properly. During this period, avoid hard acceleration, aggressive launches, excessive torque loads and clutch slipping. Drive smoothly and progressively, allowing the clutch to engage fully during normal driving. Once the break-in period is complete, gradually increase the load. The exact procedure may vary depending on the clutch configuration and friction material.
Can I tow, and how does the clutch behave when hot?
The listed torque capacity is up to 1200 Nm; this is not a towing rating or a specified continuous-slip or operating-temperature limit. Towing suitability and hot engagement behavior are not verified by that figure. Ask Atix Racing to assess your intended load and use before ordering.
